Breathing a new lease of life into a classic!!!
Welcome! Read about what to wear and how to wear it on The Rejuna itself!!!
The knit roll neck tops(also known as turtle neck tops, Polo necks or high neck tops)
The roll neck top is the most raved about basic this season. The perfect building block for any outfit, layer it under an oversized check shirt, a pair of denim dungareesor alone with staple skinny jeans. Work and rework this wonderfully wearable style!
I am wearing this maroon knit roll neck top paired up with jeans. I have accessorized it with a neck piece as the top is high neck fashion a low neck piece looks enigmatic with it. You can also style it with a suitable sunglasses as I am wearing a mirror reflected one, with a elegant hand bag and closed toe bellies as footwears. Hair left messy completes the look!!!
A roll neck ( turtleneck or “polo neck” as I a grew up calling them) is a very high neckline that covers most of the neck. The roll neck tops are generally close-fitting, but can also fit further away from the neck providing a roomier fit. You’ll find turtle neck tops or roll necks on knitwear, tops and dresses.
Mostly we see the reactions of ppl regarding roll neck or turtle neck tops are different they vary or mixed reactions. Some enjoy wearing roll necks or turtlenecks more than any other neckline. Some will only wear one as a layering piece or as a necessity for cozy warmth. Others won’t wear roll necks or turtlenecks at all.
These mixed reactions make sense when we examine the pros and cons of roll neck tops i.e turtleneck proportions. Whether you like wearing a roll neck or turtleneck top can depend on your body type, style persona, the climate where you live, and whether you run hot or cold.
PROS OF ROLL NECKS (OR TURTLENECKS)
*Keeps you toasty warm
*Provides a sleek and streamlined effect when worn in a form fitting thin gauge knit
* A classic silhouette with high longevity
*Shortens the length of the neck
*A great layering piece
CONS OF ROLL NECKS (OR TURTLENECKS)
*Causes overheating if you run warm or live in mild weather year round
*Makes you feel claustrophobic with no room to breathe
*Shortens the length of the neck.
*Looks overly classic, sporty, strict or masculine.
Roll necks(Turtlenecks) are my favourite neckline because of the pros listed above. I run cold, which makes the coverage of a turtleneck ideal. I like the way a turtleneck shortens my long neck .
Lastly, in a sleek fine gauge knit, the simplicity of the masculine silhouette appeals to my minimal and modern classic style persona. Basic form fitting turtlenecks are a wardrobe essential for my style.
The cons above generally resonate with some people who don’t like roll necks (turtlenecks) . They feel that roll necks (turtlenecks) strangle their bodies. They run too warm to wear roll necks (turtlenecks) . The style further shortens their necks.
I do also have seen people with shorter necks who enjoy wearing roll necks (turtlenecks) . By visually elongating the rollnecks (turtleneck) with scarves, pendants and unbuttoned blazers, or wearing a roll neck (turtleneck) collar that stands further away from the neck, they look and feel fab.
Such a mixed bag of feelings about the roll neck (turtleneck) ! What is most interesting is that the things that I find appealing about a roll neck (turtleneck) are precisely the things that turn others away from the style. Give me a form fitting black roll neck (turtleneck) and I feel at my most alluring.
So what’s your take on roll neck (turtle neck) tops do let me know.
